FAQs

You need to arrive at the meeting location at the time listed on your confirmation! No need to be earlier, but earlier is better than later.

Please visit our packing list page for a full list of what to wear. We recommend quick dry clothing and tennis shoes or sandals with a secure strap (no crocs of flip flops).

Please do not wear cottons, jeans, or anything that will keep you wet.

We have wetsuits & dry tops available to rent as well!

Once you arrive at the meeting location you may park your car and check-in, we will transport you to the beginning of your trip in one of our busses, and pick you up at the end to drive you back to the meeting location / your car!

Depending on your trip, this may change a bit! In addition to our guide, on our beginner trips we will usually fit up to 7 guests in a raft.

For advanced trips, we will usually fit up to 6 guests.

For expert trips, 5 guests can fit comfortably.

This is a general guideline and depending on the situation, we may adjust these capacities up or down. The final decision will be determined by our guides when your group arrives, keeping safety and comfort in mind.

Every trip will include the necessary rafting gear: helmets, PFDs, paddles, rafts, transportation to and from the river, and a guide!

All ¾, Express trips, and Full Day trips will also include our Ultimate Fajita Feast lunch.

Some trips include transportation from summit county, so please read the descriptions carefully.

Once you arrive to the meeting location, please leave all valuables and items you don’t want to get wet in your car. Your guide will provide a safe and secure spot to leave your keys. Treat your car like a locker!

P.S. If you are an express trip, you may leave items in the comfort shuttle you arrived in, it will be locked and secure while you are on your trip.

We raft rain or shine! Our most popular trips are located on the Arkansas River which is located in an alpine dessert, so storms pass by relatively quickly. You will notice it may be raining and storming in nearby areas like Breckenridge, while we have sunshine and very quick rain storms here.

For trips in more alpine environments, weather can be different so ask our adventure coordinators about our sanitized wetsuit & dry top rentals if it’s looking cold! Please feel free to bring your rain jacket if it looks like rain is in the forecast on the day of your trip.

Depending on the trip, we do have age restrictions in place for your safety. Your children must be at the age listed (or older) to raft the specific section.

While we do not have a weight restriction, we do require that all guests can safely wear our universal sized, coast guard approved life vests. If this is a concern don’t hesitate to give us a call! The decision if we will be able to take someone down the river safely will ultimately be determined by our experienced guides before your trip.

For our daily rafting trips with lunch, we serve a chicken and steak fajita feast. This contains consists of chicken and steak, fajita veggies, fresh fruit, salad, chips, salsa, and brownies.  The meat and cheese are separate and everything is served buffet style to easily accommodate vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free. All multi-day trips please let us know if you have dietary restrictions as this is very customizable.

Any other restrictive diets please let us know- we may be able to make an exception or you can bring your own food.

Whitewater rafting is an amazing opportunity to be in the outdoors with friends and family! At our outfitter, safety is our top priority. While there is inherent risk in any outdoor activity, we take extra steps to ensure your safety by only hiring experienced guides. Rest assured, you’re in good hands with us.

No refunds will be given for cancellations made within 7 days of your trip date. Cancellations made prior to 7 days before your trip date will receive a full refund minus $25. If there is availability, you may reschedule your trip once for a $25 fee, as long as it is done by 4 pm on the day before your trip.
