Packing List and Rentals
Whether you are going on a multi-day trip or just a half-day float, trying to figure out what to bring or wear can be intimidating! Our expert staff has compiled a list of our suggestions on what to wear, what to bring, and a list of what rental gear we offer. We want to make your rafting experience as comfortable as possible, so if you have any additional questions, please don’t hesitate to give our adventure coordinators a call or email! We’re always here to answer any questions.
P.S. You can also buy many of these items at our outfitter retail store before your trip.
Free Sanitized Wetsuit Gear Rentals
Feel free to choose to rent any/all of these items when you arrive for your trip, at no cost! The weather changes daily, so your guide will have a better recommendation on what rental gear you need when you check in.

What to wear on the river
CLOTHING
- Sport material / quick-dry clothing
- Nylon, synthetic fleece, capilene or merino wool
- Many people wear swimsuits, sport shorts, merino legging, splash jackets (provided for free)
FOOTWEAR
- Secure shoes or sandals that you don't mind getting wet and won't fall off
- No crocs, flip flops, or barefeet
- We offer free sanitized neoprene shoe rentals
EXTRAS
- A change of dry clothes for after your trip
- Towel if you want to take a hot shower after your trip
- Sunglasses with a strap (we sell these in our office!)
- Chapstick and sunscreen (please apply before getting on the bus)
- Drinking water
- Hat is optional - must fit under your helmet
- Gratuity for your guide (cash or card)

What not to wear on the river
CLOTHING
- Avoid wearing cotton
- Avoid wearing denim
- Avoid any materials that will keep you cold and wet
FOOTWEAR
- No flip-flops
- No crocs
- No bare feet
- Our rafts are self-bailing, so your feet will get wet no matter what!
- We do offer free use of our sanitized neoprene shoes
EXTRAS
- Don't bring anything on the boat that you're not willing to lose
- Please ask your guide to put any medications you may need in their dry bag - don't be shy!
- Leave valuables in your car, lock it, and we will keep your keys safe in a lockbox while you're on the river.
What is Provided
- Helmets and Type V Coast Guard Approved PFD’s (Personal Flotation Devices or “life jackets”)
- Sanitized wetsuit packages including wetsuits, splash jackets, and neoprene shoes (if needed)
- Rafts, paddles, and an experienced guide
- Lock-box for your car keys and ample parking spaces
- Hot showers and private changing rooms
- Transportation to and from the river
- Smiles, local insight, and the best (worst) rafting jokes from your guide along the way 😊

- Flashlight / Headlamp
- Long pants
- Shorts
- Long sleeve shirt
- Short sleeve shirt
- Fleece / down jacket (opt for non-bulky items)
- Wool socks
- Shoes for camp
- Toiletries (avoid scented products 🐻)
- Any necessary medications
- Insect repellant (generally very few bugs)
- Extra drinks (adult beverages allowed for camp if 21+)
We will provide you with 1 big dry bag / person, for your personal belongings.

Express Trips
If you are taking an Express Trip from Summit County, you can securely leave your belongings that you do not want to take on the river, on the shuttle bus (IE: dry clothes, wallet, phone, etc.) It will remain locked while you are on the river.
