Our intermediate rafting trips are the perfect place to whet your appetite for rafting! No rafting experience is necessary for these trips, and they are the most popular amongst our first time rafters and experienced rafters alike. Intermediate trips involve medium-sized whitewater with moderate maneuvers and lots of splashes. They require some fitness and swimming abilities, as you will be helping to paddle your boat on these thrilling trips. Check out all of our exciting intermediate trips below.
Browns Canyon
Browns Canyon National Monument on the Arkansas River is our most popular trip! The unique combination of lots of exciting whitewater, spectacular canyon scenery, great mountain views of some of Colorado’s highest mountains and opportunities to spot wildlife make this the ideal raft trip. Exciting enough for seasoned paddlers, but not too scary for first-timers. You will want to bring your friends and family for epic rapids such as Pinball, Zoom Flume, and Big Drop!
Boulder Canyon
For a quick whitewater rafting splash in the face, close to Frisco and Breckenridge, you will enjoy the beauty and excitement of this short river run. You can expect clear, fast flowing rapids with a beautiful rocky mountain backdrop. This river has an inconsistent season.
Silver Canyon
Enjoy intermediate whitewater as you splash through medium-sized whitewater drops. Raft on Clear Creek and soak in the rich history of Idaho Springs as you float through this old Colorado mining town.
